FIRST THING: you MUST click once inside the player screen to activate it so it will begin working. After you have clicked once, look for the list of related videos at the bottom of the Web Player. Be sure to try out the full screen mode..click the "full screen icon" right by the volume slider.. (Hit esc key to return to the regular screen size). Why are there .wmv versions and the InstantStart Video versions of each video? .... Answer: The InstantStart Videos are our preferred way for you to watch the RandyandSue videos. They use the latest Flash video technology similar to the videos on popular web sites like YouTube but with much higher quality. You will be able to see the video almost immediately instead of waiting for a full download which can take several minutes. The InstantStart Videos have no reduction in content or quality compared to the familiar .wmv videos that we produce. Use the wmv versions if you:
:Can I save my own copy of the videos to my computers disk drive? Yes, but we recommend that you save the .wmv format videos instead of the InstantStart Videos because the .wmv format videos are easier to make into your own personal use DVD's. There is no advantage to saving the InstantStart Videos since they will instantly start to play and they can be watched from virtually any computer on the internet. If you want to download the flash versions anyway, the easiest method is to install the "free" version of the RealPlayer from www.real.com. This player will integrate with the InstantStart VideoPlayer and give you a pop-up tab on our player asking you if you want to save the copy to your local disc. After saving it you will have to use the RealPlayer to watch them.
The InstantStart Videos will not play what do I do? Answer: The InstantStart Videos utilize our new InstantStart VideoPlayer. For this player to work, your internet browser must have JAVA enabled and you must have the latest version of Adobe Flash. DONT PANIC! If you have an older computer or think you need an update it is not difficult for you to do: CLICK HERE to get detailed instructions.
My video needs more
sound volume.. There is a volume slider right on the InstantStart VideoPlayer Other software and hardware controls can affect the volume and audio effects settings in the Player. If you encounter problems, try adjusting your Windows audio settings, the physical controls on your speakers, sub woofer, or amplifier, or the settings in any other software used to configure the sound card in your computer. Here is how to adjust the speaker volume in Windows: If your sound card volume can be changed using software, a speaker icon appears in the notification area (lower right hand corner of your screen). You can change the volume by double-clicking the icon and adjusting the mp3 slider. Note: To display the volume
control icon in the notification area The InstantStart Videos start immediately but it freezes for a few seconds and starts over and over. Answer: This is usually due to your internet speed. Slow
or busy connections cannot keep up with the video stream. When you click
on an InstantStart Video the VideoPlayer begins playing the video stream
immediately as it is downloading to your computer from our web server.
If you have a slow internet connection (dial up for example), the video
data may not arrive at your computer as fast as the VideoPlayer needs
so the video will hesitate until additional data is received. The VideoPlayer
will automatically resume when it has enough data to continue playing
the video. This appears as freezes in the video. You may avoid almost
all hesitations by having a high speed internet service such as RoadRunner
or DSL. If you experience freezes and you already have fast internet service, then most likely there is another program running that is competing with the VideoPlayer and your computer is having trouble keeping up. If you try to play more than one video at a time you will very likely have this problem. Also if your computer is running a backup operation or an update operation as you watch the videos this can happen. The best fix is to run only the VideoPlayer by itself so that you get the best quality viewing or you can download the .wmv format versions (a link is found on the Shag Lesson page) and watch them off line. Can I watch your videos on my TV at home? Answer: In order to see our videos on you TV you will need to make your own DVD version. We recommend that you download the wmv format video versions if you want to make your own private-use DVD.You will need a video burning program (Windows does not have one built in) We cannot recommend a DVD burning program because there are many available and some will make DVD's that work with your TV whereas another will not...so you must try them out until you find one that works with your existing equipment. If you do go this route, then our videos are ready to burn with adequate screen size and audio and they make fine DVD's! Warning this process is tedious and it takes some time..so good luck! How can I get DVD versions of the RandyandSue videos? Answer: We do not offer DVD versions. RandyandSue Shag Review Videos are available at www.RandyandSue.com, They are free...but these videos are for playing on your computer. We have looked into producing DVD versions and it would cost quite a bit..so any DVD versions would not be free. We may decide to offer our videos sometime later if we think we could sell enough to payback the up front investment..but for now, you must save the free versions on your computer's disc and make your own DVD's....(see the information above)
